Play Therapy
Play is where stories take shape, emotions find form, and healing becomes possible.
What is Play Therapy?
Play is a child’s natural language. Just as adults use words to process emotions and solve problems, children use play to explore their world, express feelings, and make sense of big experiences. Play therapy provides a safe, supportive space where children can be themselves, feel seen, and begin to heal—without having to “talk it out” in the adult sense.

The Process
Play therapy gives children a natural way to express thoughts and feelings they may not yet have words for. The playroom is designed to support emotional safety, co-regulation, and integration focused on helping children explore their inner world through art, sand tray, movement, storytelling, and sensory play. Every child’s brain and nervous system is unique. That’s why my work blends neuroscience, attachment theory, and playful curiosity to meet children exactly where they are.

Because play is the language of children, I observe and track patterns and themes over time to understand what your child is processing beneath the surface. These subtle shifts often reveal their needs, emotional struggles, and areas of growth.

Parent Collaboration
Caregivers are essential to a child’s growth and healing journey. I offer regular check-ins, parenting support sessions, and collaborative strategies to help you carry the work home. My goal is to help you feel more confident, connected, and equipped to support your child long after therapy ends.

I work closely with parents to share insights, provide feedback, and offer practical strategies that can be implemented at home. When appropriate, I collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and other professionals to ensure your child’s support system is consistent and connected. Together, we bridge the why behind your child’s behavior with the how of meaningful change both inside and outside the playroom.
